New analysis indicates no earthquake prior to flash flooding - US Geological Survey

Further analysis indicates that a landslide preceded the flash flooding in Nepal and there was no earthquake, says the US Geological Survey (USGS).
"This event was initially reported as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake," it says.
"Additional analysis of long period seismic waves indicate that the seismic energy was instead generated by a landslide." |
