early 80 years after the original 2CV first appeared, Citroën is bringing back one of the most iconic names in motoring with a new small electric car inspired by the legendary French original.
The production car is expected in 2028, with Citroën targeting a price of less than €15,000 before subsidies – potentially making this one of Europe's most affordable electric cars.
We don't yet know the final battery size, range, performance or charging speed, but Citroën is clearly prioritising low weight, simplicity and affordability rather than turning the 2CV into another high-performance EV. |
