Trump press secretary Katie Zacharia says she passed bar exam in China, raising eyebrows
--
"Foreigners cannot practice law in China and cannot take the Chinese bar exam. So just a straight up lie. "
--
The weirdest part of this for me is that she doesn’t need to be a lawyer for ANY OF THIS. Honestly, it’d probably be a hindrance, “ethical obligations” and “Trump press office” are not exactly two great tastes that taste great together. A JD is as good as a bar license in terms of understanding the basics, and the job has very little to do with either of them. The lie is just dumb shit for the sake of dumb shit.
-----------
But it was important when she was a commentator on Fox and Newsmax. She was always introduced as a lawyer and she spoke to legal issues.
Now she can't back down.
It's kind of crazy that she never took the time to sit for the bar. Pepperdine is a good school and she got through it. Why wouldn't she go for the qualification?
-------
Her husband is Tyler Zacharia. Georgetown and Pepperdine alumni. Majored in international politics and military security. After graduating he lived in Bejing for 8 years for a Chinese private equity and funding firm.
> "I went to Georgetown for my undergraduate degree and, while there, studied abroad in Beijing, China. After graduation, I traveled back to China and met a guy who was starting a private equity fund and needed someone who spoke Chinese. I knew nothing about finance, but he hired me and I learned on the job.

" Prior to this, Tyler lived for 8 years in Beijing, China, serving as Vice President of Schulze Global Investments, a global emerging markets private equity firm that was successfully bought by Cerberus Capital. During his time there he led or participated in over 20 direct equity investments in 6 countries across 4 continents. He helped expand the business and build teams in Ethiopia, Brazil, Mongolia and North Korea. "

This should be a headline Washington Post instead we get this fucking TMZ style of journalism they present to people as the topics of permissible discussion.
The White House Press Secretary's whom gains detailed internal briefings, policy decisions, unfolding crisis and major personnel matters has a husband who worked deeply in Chinese investment firms including investing in North Korea.....
Somehow this guy is now also a major Hollywood producer....you can't make this shit up.
